A Little Backstory
Mom spent her life decorating cakes and giving her time and energy to others, especially helping with weddings. Each weekend after her cake deliveries, we’d talk about the disasters she witnessed—unexpected storms, tablecloths blowing over cakes, broken decorations, and brides moving their wedding indoors last minute to places they never envisioned for their big day.
Eighteen years ago, I got roped into the wedding cake business too—something I never planned on doing, just like this venue! But Mom always had a dream: to create a beautiful indoor/outdoor wedding space where couples could have the day they imagined, without weather ruining it.
When we first saw this building (with purple carpet, strip lights, and cubicles everywhere), she envisioned how gorgeous it could be. I laughed and said, “No way, I’m not doing this.” But shortly after that meeting, Mom passed away very unexpectedly 3 weeks later due to breast cancer. That’s when her dream became my mission—to live her legacy and make Cinder Creek a reality.
It’s been HARD, but it’s been worth it. I know she’s smiling down on us, guiding me and our incredible team every step of the way.
What Makes Cinder Creek Special
It’s important for me to share how we came to be because this isn’t your typical wedding venue. We aren’t backed by a team of investors or driven by a quota of how many weddings we book each year. Cinder Creek exists because we love opening our doors to couples who fall in love with it just like we did.
Since we opened on June 1, 2020, we’ve grown in ways we never expected. We’ve listened to our couples and made improvements after every wedding. From adding more photo opportunities to the cozy romance of our crackling fire pits, and expanding our inventory of thousands of décor pieces available at no extra cost—we make every decision with your special day in mind.
We’re a family and team that genuinely cares about you and the details of your wedding. We don’t see you as a number or a package—you’re a couple we feel honored to celebrate. We know we only get one shot at making your wedding day spectacular, and we take that trust seriously.
